Snipping tool

As you know if you’ve been following my blog, I try to include partial screen shots of the software I’m talking about or the process I am describing. To do this I use a free program from Microsoft called the Snipping Tool.  Here are the links for the Vista and Windows 7 versions of this handy little tool.

For XP users, check this out

The nice thing about this tool is that you can grab full screen shots, rectangular areas or free form areas. You can also use the built in pens to annotate your clip.

It is easy to use and very handy

Thanks for the as always useful information, Art. I use Picasa to grab screen captures, but I do like the free form and pen features of this tool.
